Accountant – be the steady hand behind a growing gifting business
Are you thorough, and do your colleagues know they can count on you? Would you like to work in an international company that is growing, and be part of our move from Microsoft Dynamics to a new ERP
About the job
As Accountant, you will be responsible for the daily reconciliations and controls in Finance. You will also take part in our migration to a new ERP system, where we are taking a fresh look at our processes. The role is broad, and you will have a big say in how your tasks are solved.
Your main tasks will be:
Accounts payable and receivable, including payments, master data, reconciliations and follow-up on outstanding receivables
Posting and reconciliation for our group companies
Entering payments for the group companies and the holding company, backing up payments to our global partners, and acting as back-up on vendor reconciliation of our global prepayments
Administration of employee benefits, reconciliation of the payroll clearing account, and follow-up with our external payroll provider on their payroll reconciliation
Covering for colleagues in finance operations, for example VAT returns during holidays and absence
Daily reconciliation of our payment service providers (PSP) against revenue and incoming payments, including follow-up on any differences
Preparing relevant audit documentation and reconciliations for our auditors in connection with the year-end audit
Taking part in the ERP migration, from process design and master data to testing, with an eye for what can be automated or simplified
About you
You are an experienced accountant who is used to a high volume of transactions and likes things to add up. We imagine that you:
Have several years of accounting experience, preferably with group accounting and reconciliations
Can handle reconciliations on your own, including bank and PSP reconciliations
Have experience with accounts receivable and payable, including follow-up on outstanding payments
Have worked in Microsoft Dynamics NAV or another ERP system, and ideally also been part of an ERP implementation or migration
Know VAT and the Danish bookkeeping rules and are strong in Excel. You are also curious about AI tools and how they can make our everyday work easier
Like working with systems and data, and want to help improve the way we work
Are thorough and service-minded towards your colleagues
Enjoy working with both your own team and the rest of the business
Speak and write Danish fluently and are good at English
As a person, you are positive and bring energy to the team. We take our work seriously, but we also have fun together, and the tone is informal.
What we offer
You will join our Finance and BI team of 10 people, report to our Senior Finance Manager and work closely with our CFO. The team covers everything from bookkeeping and partner settlements to month-end reporting, budgets, estimates, audit and annual accounts, and we also support projects across the company.
The days vary, and there is room to improve how we do things. If you have an idea, we would like to hear it, and you will have good opportunities to develop both personally and professionally.
GoGift has around 120 employees from more than 30 countries, and our office is on Strandgade in Copenhagen. We offer:
A competitive salary with pension and health insurance
Lunch buffet every day
Career and development opportunities in a company that is growing
Good colleagues, an informal tone and room for humour
Interested?
We look forward to hearing from you. It is a full-time position.
